Dr. Jaffer Khan is the director and head consultant at Aesthetics International. A former Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the United Kingdom, he did his initial plastic surgical training at Cork University Hospital before moving to the UK.
Here he trained for five years in plastic surgery, including periods at St. Bartholomew‘s and the Royal London Hospitals, working with ten leading consultants. Dr. Jaffer Khan also visited the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital and worked as a Fellow at a leading Harley Street practice in London to gain experience in cosmetic surgery.
With a number of scientific publications and several international presentations to his name, Dr Jaffer Khan was the first surgeon in the region to pass the specialty fellowship examination of the Joint Royal Colleges in Plastic Surgery. His areas of special interest include liposuction and body contouring, as well as aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast and abdomen. Dr. Khan is a trained hand, burns and microvascular surgeon, and a pioneer of Facial Resurfacing, having introduced the first Erbium YAG laser to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1997 and to Dubai in 1998.
Dr. Khan leads an international team of highly experienced aesthetic physicians, each one a specialist in their particular area of expertise. While some work with Dr. Khan’s associates, there is always an expert on call at the clinic. Because we employ a permanent team of physicians and surgeons, patients can be sure of receiving consistent treatment from an individual who knows the personal case history. In addition, Dr. Khan’s reputation and liaisons with the medical fraternity here and abroad attract a number of visiting surgeons, all of whom are of a high caliber with established private practices in their respective home countries.
Dr. Khan is now a visiting professor at Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom. Along with Professor Frame, Dr. Khan leads the MCH (Masters in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) training program in Dubai.
Dr. Jaffer Khan is also covered by ISAPS (International Society for Aesthetics Plastic Surgery) insurance. This is additional insurance that covers remedial treatment that may be necessary following your surgery. In the unlikely event that your surgeon diagnoses you with one of these conditions, then the surgeon’s insurance will cover the costs and charges (up to a limit agreed with our insurers) for the corrective or remedial treatment by your surgeon or an approved ISAPS surgeon in your country of residence. He has only been accepted for this insurance because he is a member of ISAPS. ISAPS have strict requirements for membership to ensure their surgeons have the highest standards of training and experience.RealSelf Patient Reviews of Jaffer Khan, MB, FRCSI, FRCS(plast.), FACS
